Founded in 1969, Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Dragon and Lion Dance Association (formerly known as Hong Kong Chinese Martial Arts Association) is non-profit social organization dedicated to the promotion of traditional Chinese martial arts, as well as the dragon and lion dances. We are a member association of the Olympic Committee of Hong Kong and strive to train qualified trainers and referees for the Chinese martial arts community.

I met Mr. Sung Yun-hua, a famous Taijiquan master from Xian, in early 1990s. At that time Mr. Sung came to Hong Kong to teach Zhaobao Taijiquan. In additional to founding Yiquandao, he introduced a grading system for teaching and promotion of Taijiquan. Being a dedicated disciple of Master Sung, Mr. Kwan Wing Kwong is a major promoter of Master Sung’s style of Zhaobao Taijiquan in Hong Kong. Mr. Kwan is a talented and diligent martial arts practitioner who has learned the essences of Taijiquan from Mr. Sung. Through consistent and tireless practice, Mr. Kwan has proved himself an outstanding martial artist and has a large following. He spares no effort in promoting traditional Chinese martial arts and is now a member of the executive committee of our association.

Zhaobao Taijiquan is the fruit of Mr. Kwan’s years of dedicated practice of martial arts and Taijiquan. In this book Mr. Kwan shares with the readers the quintessence and applications of Zhaobao Taijiquan. It is a valuable book that martial arts lovers should not miss.
